A MOTHER with a long history of dishonesty crimes says she can't "fully remember” when she stole multiple items from five stores in a matter of days.

Jorgia Morgan Rook started to cry when details of her six charges were read at Maroochydore Magistrates Court today. They included stealing rabbit fur vests, shoes, accessories and clothing.

Police prosecutor Sergeant Phillip Stephens said Rook stole from multiple shops in Brisbane including Colette, Sportsgirl, Honey Birdette and Cotton On Body between June 19 and 24.

In one instance, Sgt Stephens said Rook walked into a store with a pram and tried to distract the shop assistants before taking two rabbit fur vests and fleeing.

Sgt Stephens said Rook's criminal history showed similar offences from 2013 to as recently last year with fraud and stealing charges.

Noting the previous charges, Sgt Stephens said it was "mind blowing” Rook hadn't recorded a conviction.

At the time of the offences Rook struggled with bulimia saying her medical condition impaired some of her memory of what happened.

Rook was ordered to complete 120 hours of community service and to pay $300 restitution for items unable to be recovered.

A conviction was recorded.
