There are grave fears for a motorcyclist injured in a horror crash on a rural Noosa road.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said more than five crews were called to Louis Bazzo Dr in Cootharaba just after midday on Monday after a crash between a car and motorbike.
The motorcyclist, understood to be a man in his 70s, had suffered life-threatening head injuries.
The spokeswoman said a rescue helicopter had been called to the scene.
A police spokeswoman said the driver of the car did not appear to be physically injured.
The crash comes after a 70-year-old man died in a motorbike crash in Kidaman Creek in April.
A 21-year-old motorcyclist also died in a crash in Witta last month.
