Motorbike rider in critical condition after crashing in Sunshine Coast hinterland

Emergency services rushed to forestry in the Sunshine Coast hinterland on Sunday after a man was thrown off his trail bike. DETAILS.

A male rider is in a critical condition after being thrown off his trail bike in Sunshine Coast hinterland forestry.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson said paramedics treated a man in his 40s with serious chest injuries along Twin View Rd near Beerburrum West State Forest after his team received a call at 8.08am on Sunday.

The spokesperson said the man suffered the injuries after being thrown from the bike.

According to RACQ LifeFlight, one of the Sunshine Coast rescue helicopters flew the trail bike rider to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a critical condition.

A critical care doctor and a Queensland flight paramedic treated the rider for head, chest and leg injuries.
