Car crashes into Caloundra business causing significant damage

Emergency services are on scene after a car smashed into a local Sunshine Coast business causing “significant damage”.

Emergency services are on scene after a car smashed into a Sunshine Coast business causing “significant damage”.

A QFES spokesman said two crews were responding to reports of a car crashing into a commercial business at Caloundra just before 9am this morning.

The crash was on Ormuz Ave, on the corner of Lamington Lane.

“There was a significant amount of damage to the building,” he said.

Monday

A woman and her baby have been rushed to hospital following a “serious” two-vehicle crash on the Sunshine Coast.

Firefighters and paramedics were called to the crash at the corner of Claymore Rd and Fitzwilliam Dr at Sippy Downs just after 12.15pm Monday, March 25.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Service spokesman confirmed one crew attended the two-vehicle crash and there were no entrapments.

Police were also on scene.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman confirmed three patients were treated.

“A woman and her infant were transported to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital,” he said.

He said they were in a stable condition with unknown injuries.

“It’s relatively serious with an infant involved,” he said.

“They’ll be taking that quite seriously.

“Not life threatening though.”
