ONE of Australia’s most wanted men has been arrested in Yandina.

ONE of Australia's most wanted men has been arrested in Yandina.

Police allege Leslie Gordon Sharp, 48, was in possession of about 170g of the drug ice and more than $19,000 in cash when he was arrested on the Nambour Connection Rd near the intersection of Rutherford Rd on Friday afternoon.

Sharp was named in Operation Roam, which listed Australia's top 20 wanted fugitives.

Police allege he had been on the run for more than three years after breaching parole conditions.

Sunshine Coast District Tactical Crime Squad officer-in-charge Wade Lee said gang squad officers and Special Emergency Response Team officers made the arrest on Friday.

Acting Senior Sergeant Lee said they acted on information of a number of sightings in the area reported in the month leading up to Friday's arrest.

A 22-year-old woman, who police say was Sharp's partner, was also arrested and charged.

Sharp was remanded in custody for his matters to be next mentioned on January 7.
