A Coast resident's stunning career and the epic performances of a historic Maroochydore recruit have been immortalised in another coup for the region's basketball scene.
Maroochydore resident and two-time Olympic star Donna Quinn along with former Maroochydore Eagles' inaugural player Chris McGraw were inducted into the Queensland Basketball Hall of Fame this month.
Quinn, now a real estate agent running Off The Plan Group in Cotton Tree, played for Australia in the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles and the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul.

The Los Angeles competition was the first time the Opals had qualified for the Olympics.
She also notched up an impressive 215 WNBL games across nine years, including 171 games for the North Adelaide Rockets.
Quinn, a Pittsworth product, was named the finals MVP in 1990 when the Rockets took out the competition.
"It's an honour to be inducted into the hall of fame," she said.
"When you actually reflect back on what you did and realise that playing 150 games for Australia is no mean feat and it is a tough ask but something that I was very proud to achieve and probably even more so now."
Quinn looked back on the Seoul Olympics as a particularly fond memory.
"We were the first team ever in the world to beat the USSR which is now Russia and just the opportunity to compete at that level," she said.
"We were 0.8 of a second off gold or silver medal so it was probably the start of women's basketball being ranked extremely highly on the world stage."
She is still passionate about the sport, sponsoring and regularly attending USC Rip City games.
She hails from Pittsworth but moved to the region from 2007-11 and after seven years away returned in 2018.
Meanwhile, McGraw played 187 games for the Brisbane Bullets alongside Coast resident Bruce Fitzgerald, even winning the club's first grand final in 1985.
He also played for Australia during his time on court, touring China in 1980.
McGraw is a Brisbane product but has some strong connections to the region, having joined the Maroochydore Eagles for four years from 1986, the state league's foundation year, until 1989.
He was selected as a member of the league's All-Star 5 team in 1988 while playing for Maroochydore and played 54 games for the Coast club, scoring 844 points, averaging 15.62 points.
His efforts sit at number 10 in Maroochydore's all time average points per game at 15.62.
McGraw also made 438 rebounds in the 54 games for the Eagles, averaging 8.11 per game.
Former Maroochydore Eagles president Sid Page fondly remembered McGraw's efforts for the Coast.
"He was big and strong and that helped us a lot especially because we were a bit undersize," Page said.
Page said McGraw's induction was another coup for the Coast.
"I think it's a really big shot in the arm for us," he said.
"We've now got Fitzy (Bruce Fitzgerald) and Chris McGraw, two out of our inaugural Maroochydore team that have made the hall of fame."
