Margy Manfield had no intention of doing a second album, but after being given $10,000 by an elderly couple, she just knew it was meant to be.

The Christian recording artist will appear at Nambour Baptist Church on Saturday night at 7pm in a free show with a support band to launch the work, More Than This.

Margy was in the rock industry before becoming a Christian but did not record her first album until eight years later because she thought music was in the past.

"The Lord had other ideas and when he felt I was ready sent in an amazing team to help me make the album. It really is amazing story of God's provision,'' she said.

"I never went out to promote the CD but it made its way into the U.S, Sweden, New Zealand & India. People would email or write beautiful things of how my music got them through difficult days,'' she said.

"People would ask me when I was doing a new one, but I’d never thought about doing another one.''

After returning to work, she felt a strong sense that she needed to do another album.

She said she told God if he wanted her to do another album, he would need to come up with the funds.

"Within weeks I received a call from an older lady telling me the Lord had spoken to her and that she was to help us with a new CD.

"She and her husband came out in their combie and delivered a cheque for $10,000. I stuck it on my fridge and stared at it for days.''

Soon after that Craig Ross from Roo Muzic quoted the same amount to do the album.

The result is a 11-track album that will appeal to a broad market as it talks about the many issues facing us all - including balancing family time with the demands of our busy lives.
