Man to face court over tavern robbery

Police have charged a man after a robbery at a Tavern at Maroochydore last night.
About 8.30pm it is alleged the man removed money from behind the counter at the Duporth Tavern in Duporth Avenue, Maroochydore.
The man left the premises and was located a short time later by police at a nearby business.
The 24-year-old man has been charged with enter premises and commit stealing and will appear in Maroochydore Magistrates Court today.
