A man has been taken to hospital following an alleged assault on a quiet suburban street at the Sunshine Coast.

A man was taken to a Sunshine Coast hospital following an alleged assault on a quiet suburban street.
Emergency services were called to Keywest Ave, Coolum Beach, about 6.35pm last night, January 25, after calls from residents.
Paramedics took a man in his 50s to the Nambour Hospital in a stable condition with face and hand injuries.
A Queensland Police Service spokesman said police were called to the street and arrested two people nearby a short time later.
“Two people were taken into custody and they’re assisting police with their inquiries,” he said.
It was a busy night for emergency services across the Sunshine Coast.
A teenager was taken to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition after he crashed an e-bicycle on David Low Way about 6.20pm and a man was taken to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition, with a head injury, after he was hit by a car on David Low Way in Maroochydore about 8.05pm.
