A hinterland family and local community is reeling after the tragic death of a beloved single father.

“Max was not just a tenant to us, he was a cherished member of our extended family. His sudden departure has left us all heartbroken, especially considering the young family they leave behind,” Ms Turner said.

“Max’s sudden departure has left his three young children without a father, plunging them into an unimaginable world of grief and uncertainty.

“As Max’s neighbours and fellow community members, we are coming together to honour his memory and support his children during this difficult time.

“Max was not only a loving father but also a valued member of our community, known for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering commitment to his family.”

Mr Shaw’s three children, 20, 15, and 14 years old, are living in Brisbane with family but staying with friends in Maleny to attend school and go to their local jobs.

In the wake of this tragic loss, the hinterland real estate has called on the local community for support.

“They are such a beautiful family and the loss in unimaginable,” Ms Turner said.

“We have set up a fundraiser to help alleviate some of the financial burdens they may face in the coming days, weeks, and months.
