This year the judges were asked to shake things up a bit and the judging criteria was changed, just a little, to make the list more relevant.

This year the judges were asked to base their selections on what happened in 2019, and leave historic achievements out of the mix.

They were asked to look for people who had achieved in their field of endeavour or in the community, people who made the news, created conversation and made a difference.

What we found was there are hundreds of people making a difference on the Coast. We could have listed 200 people or more in the count.

Now because of the change in judging there are more than 40 new faces in this year's list and the order of influence has been turned upside down.

As always the list is about creating discussion and debate in the community.

Many important people have missed a spot on the list. That doesn't mean they don't have influence now or in the future but proves how wonderful the community on the Coast is.

Enjoy the list and let the debate begin.
