A P-plater busted drunkenly hooning on Teewah Beach in a viral video shared to social media has said he is “really sorry” as he faces the consequences.

A Loganlea P-plater was two weeks from reaching his open licence when police caught him drink driving and doing “doughnuts” on Teewah Beach, a Sunshine Coast Court has been told.
Jake Dylan Greenbank, 23, who represented himself in Maroochydore Magistrates Court, pleaded guilty on November 14 to one charge of driving without due care and attention and drink driving, after he was caught hooning on Teewah Beach.
Police confirmed Greenbank was the driver shown in a viral video posted to social media in October.
The court was told Greenbank was pulled over for a breath test after he was spotted by police doing “doughnuts” on the sand on October 14.
There, the he blew 0.102, more than twice the legal limit for a driver with an open licence.
Greenbank told the court he was two weeks from receiving his open licence when he was pulled over.
He said he was “really sorry for his actions”.
Magistrate Raelene Ellis suspended Greenbank’s licence for three months, and he was fined $350.
A conviction was recorded.
