WHILE juggling his daddy daycare duties to his two young daughters, former Brisbane Broncos star Jack Reed has kept up his mentoring program to Sunshine Coast kids.
For the past three years, Mr Reed has run the combined Broncos and Mooloolaba Surf Club program to great success.,
The program covers better health and life choices, personal branding, cyber risks and alcohol awareness discussions for primary and high school students.
But like most, the global pandemic forced the program to go virtual.
“Situations have obviously changed but we are still getting the message across in testing times,” the Bribie Island Warrigals junior said.
“It’s about getting kids out and about as much as possible to burn a few calories.
“The videos are really fun and positive. My young girls both like them.”
Mooloolaba State School principal Steve Taylor said the videos are a fantastic resource for the community.
“I actually sent it to my wife who is homeschooling our children,” Mr Taylor said.
“The wellbeing of our community is paramount to getting through this together and remaining active at home is essential to managing this.”
