An OnlyFans content creator and a tradie accused of stabbing a man in his Sunshine Coast home over drugs have had their charges upgraded almost six months after the alleged incident.

Isabelle Rose Mckean and Tom Starky had their matters mentioned separately in the Maroochydore Magistrates Court.

They are charged over an incident that allegedly occurred on September 19 about 11pm in Pomona.

Police previously alleged the pair broke into a home and stabbed a 23-year-old man known to them before fleeing.

Court documents revealed witnesses allegedly reported hearing a male and female yell out “he owes me money for drugs”, and shortly after the pair were allegedly seen smashing the windows of the Pomona home.

They were each charged with unlawful wounding, wilful damage and enter dwelling with intent at night while armed.

Mr Starky is also charged with three drug possession offences, possessing a knife in public and possessing S4 or S8 medicines or poisons.

Mr Starky appeared in person beside defence lawyer Ben Rynderman.

Mr Rynderman told the court they were awaiting forensic analysis as part of the brief of evidence.

The charge of unlawful wounding was then upgraded to a charge of grievous bodily harm.

Mr Rynderman asked for the drug matters and the alleged stabbing incident to be kept together, as the drug matters, alleged to have occurred in Brisbane, were allegedly connected to the break-in offence.

Magistrate Matthew McLaughlin asked if the incident had been a “drug deal gone wrong”.

“I wouldn’t use such terms but your honour’s inference may be accurate,” Mr Rynderman said.

No commerciality has been alleged in relation to the drug charges.

Tom Starky appeared in the Maroochydore Magistrates Court on April 5, 2024.

Ms Mckean was also previously charged with grievous bodily harm in addition to a charge of unlawful wounding.

Defence lawyer Jacob Pruden appeared on behalf of Ms Mckean and told the court his office had received a partial brief of evidence from police that morning.

He said they were still awaiting DNA testing.

Police prosecutor Amanda Brewer said she had not received an estimate from the analysis team as to when the testing would be complete.

Their matters were adjourned to June 7.

They are yet to enter any pleas.
