Horrendous footage has emerged online of yet another case of an indecent public sex act on the Sunshine Coast – this time on a sandbar in the middle of a popular swimming area.

A Sunshine Coast Instagram account recently shared a video of a couple engaging in oral sex on a raised sandbar in the middle of the Maroochy River.

The video was posted Tuesday morning.

It shows the couple in their swimmers – with the female performing oral sex on the male.

The footage was shared with the caption “When in Rome (Maroochy River bank).”

The pair weren’t shy about their actions.

Sunshine Coast locals swarmed to the comments to share their witty takes and disgust at the act.

“Love island,” someone said.

“So if you were stuck on a deserted island what would you do first?” Someone asked.

“Sunny Coast is feeling more and more like the Gold Coast every year,” another person commented.

A Queensland Police Service spokesman said police were unaware of the incident and unable to comment.

In Queensland if you’re charged with committing an Indecent Act the alleged perpetrator could be facing a maximum penalty of two years imprisonment. Fines could also be imposed and a criminal conviction would be likely.

The offence of Indecent Acts is contained in section 227 of the Criminal Code Act 1899 which states:

“Any person who: (a) wilfully and without lawful excuse does any indecent act in any place to which the public are permitted to have access, whether on payment of a charge for admission or not; or (b) wilfully does any indecent act in any place with intent to insult or offend any person is guilty of a misdemeanour and is liable to imprisonment for 2 years.”

The act has gone viral online.

Some examples of indecent acts previously before the court in Queensland were: exposing genitals in public, public masturbation, sexual acts on another person, and even pretending to perform sexual acts on another person.

Less than a month ago another case of a public indecent act also went viral on the Sunshine Coast when scandalous footage emerged online of a couple’s “disgusting” sex act in a major shopping centre’s disabled toilets.

That Instagram video was deleted and Queensland Police confirmed no one was charged.
