EXCITEMENT is building for the new Hungry Jack’s store in Nambour which is expected to bring 50 jobs to the community.

The store, scheduled to open in 2020, will provide locals with its famous flame-grilled menu and feature the Sunshine Coast’s first Jack’s Café.

Nambour resident Katherine Grayson said she was looking forward to the store opening

“It’s so much more affordable, I would prefer to get my child a meal from Hungry Jack’s, the beef is better,” Mrs Grayson said.

Hungry Jack’s chief marketing officer Scott Baird said the company was eager to open the new store.

“Hungry Jack’s is thrilled to be joining the community of Nambour, with the new restaurant,” Mr Baird said.

“It will provide 50 full-time, part-time and casual jobs to those in the community.”

Nambour resident Joel Cashman said he was happy the fast food giant was bringing opportunities to the town.

“I think it’s good that things like Hungry Jack’s are coming to Nambour,” Mr Cashman said.

“I think it (Nambour) gets a bit of a bad name but the new store will bring more jobs, more opportunities and variety.”

Located on the corner of Mill Lane and Bury St, Mrs Grayson said the store was a breeze to get to.

“Maccas and KFC are so hard to get to, so this will be good,” Mrs Grayson said.
