A man is in hospital after a two-vehicle crash sparked a fight between drivers on the Bruce Highway.

A Queensland Police Service spokesman said initial investigations indicated a Holden Crewman dual-cab ute crashed into a truck on the northbound lanes of the Bruce Hwy at North Arm, south of the Eumundi turn-off late Sunday night.

A 29-year-old Nambour man, who was behind the wheel of the ute, then got into a fight with the 63-year-old truck driver, police will allege.

Police were called to the crash about 10pm Sunday, June 11 and firefighters and paramedics also attended.

The 29-year-old man was taken to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition by critical care paramedics.

He remains in hospital.

The police spokesman said the truck driver was uninjured and that officers were investigating what had contributed to the crash.

Charges were yet to be laid.

More to come.
