Drink driving charge after early morning crash

A 26-YEAR-OLD Doonan man has been charged with drink driving after a crash into a tree in the early hours of this morning.

A 26-YEAR-OLD Doonan man has been charged with drink driving after a crash into a tree in the early hours of this morning.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Reef St and Weyba Rd in Noosaville about 1.30am Sunday.

A man in his 20s, who police believed was a passenger in the Holden Commodore, was taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition with a head injury.

Another male passenger, 31, was not injured.

The 26-year-old man was given a notice to appear in court at a later date.
