CRITICAL care paramedics have taken a man in his 60s to a Brisbane hospital after a car and cyclist incident just south of the Sunshine Coast.

Emergency services were called to Village Ave at Bongaree (near Bribie Island) about 6.20am today.

The man had sustained head and shoulder injuries and was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a stable condition.
