A Sunshine Coast man who police allege was a drug runner has fronted court after being arrested during a covert operation, with a large amount of meth and up to $269,000 cash seized.

A Golden Beach man and alleged drug runner has fronted court after he was arrested during a targeted sting by detectives.
Police allege Craig Lawrence Heinecke, 33, was involved in trafficking dangerous drugs between the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane from August 16, 2022 to October 11, 2022.
Sunshine Coast Criminal Investigation Branch detectives intercepted the Golden Beach man along Logan Rd in Eight Mile Plains about 2pm on Monday October 10, 2022 after an alleged drug deal.
Police will allege a search of the vehicle located 300g of meth hidden inside a false battery compartment, as well as cash, mobile phones and a used glass pipe.
The Golden Beach man was charged with 18 offences, including one of drug trafficking, six counts of supply, and five counts of possessing drugs.
Mr Heinecke was denied police bail and had his matter mentioned briefly in Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Tuesday, October 11, 2022.
He did not apply for bail and the matter was adjourned to Caloundra Magistrates Court on December 7, 2022.
Intelligence received from police surveillance led police to properties in Kuraby and Golden Beach, with officers executing search warrants at these addresses on Monday, October 10, 2022.
It will be alleged by police $269,000 was located at the Chesterfield Cres, Kuraby property and meth, amphetamines, cocaine, marijuana, steroids and drug utensils were located during the search of the Taylor Ave, Golden Beach property.
Investigations are continuing.
