WORKING out has become less of a chore and more of a family-fun visit to the farm for Blake Jones' clients.

The 19-year-old runs personal training and group sessions in his family's barn, surrounded by the furry farm pets on his property that are in petting distance.

Despite the odd "baa" every now and then, Tanawha Farmfit offers the same exercising results as those offered in a standard gym.

Blake said the sense of community stood out the most in the classes, as his clients actually enjoy getting their sweat on.

"They rock up on a Monday morning and they see the friends that they've made and the animals they love, so it makes it more of a hobby for them and less of a hassle."

It was important to create a comfortable space for those concerned about other's judgements present in gyms, Blake said.

"Majority of new mums lose a fair amount of confidence, so they love that it's a private studio and there's a sense of community in the group classes."

Chris Roberts attends twice a week with his son and enjoys the different lease he now has on working out.

"It's a fun environment being outside in a barn among animals," he said.

"You'll be doing your push-ups and then next minute a goat will come over, so it's something different for sure," he said.

The private barn appealed to Mr Roberts, as his 14-year-old son was more comfortable with Blake's work out space.

"In a gym you have people watching you, you're a bit self-conscious, whereas with Blake it's just a small group of people," he said.
