Loretta Patterson, of Imbil, dies in car crash on Eumundi Kenilworth Rd, Belli Park

Members of a tight-knit Sunshine Coast community are in shock and devastated after a well-known real estate agent and “beautiful lady” died in a car crash.

Members of a tight-knit Sunshine Coast community are in shock after a well-known real estate agent died in a hinterland crash earlier this week.

Loretta Patterson, 62, of Imbil died in a single-vehicle traffic crash at Belli Park on the Sunshine Coast on Monday, November 20.

Initial investigations indicated the vehicle was travelling along Eumundi Kenilworth Rd around 10.50am when it left the road and hit a tree.

Mrs Patterson, the driver and sole occupant, died at the scene.

The highly respected real estate agent had worked and lived on the Sunshine Coast for nearly 30 years.

Most recently she had been working at Boxsells in Kenilworth, and Ron Jeffrey Realty at Imbil beforehand.

She leaves behind her husband Ian, a painter and business owner at Imbil, and daughter Hayley Perry.

According to Boxsells website, she began working there in early 2021.

“Loretta brings with her a high level of skill and is a very well respected property manager throughout the Mary Valley,” they wrote.

“Having entered the industry over 30 years ago, Loretta’s Clients can be assured she has the know how to deliver outstanding service when it comes to looking after Investment Properties.”

It is understood Mrs Patterson was driving to her work office at Kenilworth when the crash happened.

Her workplace, husband, and daughter have been contacted for comment.

Online tributes were flowing for Mrs Patterson as news of the tragic incident spread.

One person wrote that she sent “love and strength” to the whole family.

“RIP beautiful lady, our family will always treasure our memories with you,” she wrote.

Another said she would “be missed by many” and another sent “deepest condolences” to Mrs Patterson’s family.

Police are still investigating the crash.
