NO NEW cases of coronavirus have been recorded on the Sunshine Coast today, however, restrictions around entering Queensland have been put in place.
The Sunshine Coast’s confirmed total remains at 86, with 60 people having recovered.
Statewide, 13 new cases have been recorded overnight and Queensland Health will notify the community if any public health alerts are required.
Contract tracing is now under way.
Additional restrictions come into effect at midnight tonight for Queenslanders returning from Sydney and the Central Coast of NSW.
Under powers granted by the Public Health Act 2005, Queenslanders returning from hot spots will be required to self-quarantine for 14 days.
These published hot spots may be expanded or amended in the coming days.
The majority of cases are from patients who have travelled overseas, or have had direct contact with a confirmed case who had travelled overseas.
