A popular Sunshine Coast pizzeria has suffered extensive damage after a car crashed into its shop front on a busy road at the weekend.
A car crashed into La Pino’s Pizza store, Nicklin Way, Wurtulla, on Sunday morning, leaving the owners devastated.
A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said they were called to the scene of the crash at 9.30am.
She said there were no entrapments or injuries and an investigation is ongoing.
“No one has been charged at this stage,” the spokeswoman said.
The popular pizza store, which has been there for more than two years, was significantly damaged by the crash.
The owners, who spoke limited English, said they felt very lucky no one was in the store when it happened.
Fortunately, the crash was outside of the store’s hours so no staff or customers were inside.
The owners said all of their equipment was damaged and would need replacing.
La Pino’s Pizza store will remain closed for some time as they clean up the mess and replace the equipment.
