An all-action jungle gym complete with swings, ladders and climbs to bring out the inner Ninja warrior is coming soon to the Sunshine Coast.
Ninja Jungle is days from opening at a centre along Owen Creek Road, Forest Glen inside a fast-changing area full of shopping and dining options.
Associate professor David McIntosh, 48, is the driving force behind Ninja Jungle which he has been trying to open on the Coast for five years.
Mr McIntosh said the courses were designed to bring out the Ninja Warrior of its users, in a set up similar to the hit television show.
He said it would be unlike anything the Coast had to offer when it opens on July 3.
“The great thing about it is that it’s open to anyone, tailored to everyone and anyone,” Mr McIntosh said.
Ninja Jungle comes with almost 30 challenges that vary from simple to “tricky” to “super hard” and down right “torturous”.
“The whole point of it is that it can’t be too easy or you’d get bored,” he said.
“Kids can come in and play with a full bodied engagement. But they don’t see it as a gym, they see it as fun.
“You’re pretty tanked at the end of the session.”
Mr McIntosh said he had been searching for an appropriate site on the Coast to open his dream gym for about five years.
“It’s been a big investment and a huge risk setting it up because of Covid-19,” he said.
“There’s definitely been a few sleepless nights but I am very excited to open.
“We have a great team of professionals. I can’t wait.”
