First glimpse: Designs done, tenders out for tavern

Tenders will be put out over the next month for the much-talked about Bli Bli Tavern, the final stage of the village project.

DESIGNS have been completed and tenders will be put out in August for construction on the much-talked about Bli Bli Tavern.

Developer Michael White said the coronavirus pandemic had stalled the last stage of the $30 million village with construction to start later in the year or early 2021.

Mr White said social media had been abuzz with comments asking about the tavern update.

"People are pretty keen, no doubt about that," Mr White said.

Construction is expected to start later this year or early 2021.

"We are still pushing hard to get it under way and we will continue to," he said.

"The coronavirus pandemic had stalled the start of this project but the developer is working through this with all parties involved

"On completion of tender submissions we can assess the effects of the pandemic when we start the process with valuers and financiers."
