Buderim crash: Motorbike wedged under 4WD as traffic grinds to a halt

A busy Coast road is in gridlock this morning after a motorbike ended up wedged under a 4WD during a dramatic crash.

A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital this morning after a motorbike was left wedged under a four-wheel-drive from a crash at a suburban Coast intersection.

The motorbike and four-wheel-drive collided at the intersection of Allamanda Avenue and King Street, Buderim, just before 7.40am on Tuesday.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said paramedics had taken the rider to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition, with only a minor injury recorded despite the dramatic crash.

Firefighters were called to the scene and police have currently got both lanes of King Street stopped to traffic while efforts were being made to clear the stricken Land Rover and motorbike from the road.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible this morning.
