A man accused of killing a motorcyclist in a crash in Sunshine Beach has faced court for the first time.
Ben Miller, 45, appeared in Noosa Magistrates Court on May 13 charged with one count of dangerous driving causing death.
Defence lawyer Bradford Hill appeared on behalf of Mr Miller and asked for the matter to be adjourned in order to obtain a brief of evidence.
Police prosecutor Phillip Stephens asked for at least six weeks to prepare the brief, given a forensic crash report will be required.
The matter was adjourned to July 1 for committal mention.
Court documents have revealed the victim of the crash to be Craig Mathew Yates.
Documents list Mr Miller as an IT administer and a Noosa Heads resident.
Mr Miller was charged after a crash at Sunshine Beach on April 14.
About 11.45pm, emergency services were called to Ben Lexcen Dr and Eenie Creek.
Police previously said the 55-year-old motorcyclist died in a crash between a silver Kia Cerato and Kawasaki motorcycle.
Mr Miller’s bail is enlarged and no pleas have been entered.
