Beerburrum truck crash: Emergency services rush to collision

Major delays are expected after two trucks collided along a busy hinterland road, leaving one man in a serious condition. Here is what we know.

A man is in a serious condition after he was involved in a collision between two trucks in Beerburrum, causing traffic chaos.

Emergency crews were on scene along Steve Irwin Way near Endeavour Rd after the two vehicles collided about 12.35pm on Monday November 7.

A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said a man in his 30s was treated for head and neck injuries by critical care paramedics and was rushed to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Another person involved in the crash was assessed for neck pain and declined transport.

It’s understood one man was entrapped prior to paramedics and fire crews arriving.

Police say traffic was being diverted off Steve Irwin Way and onto the Bruce Hwy, with major delays expected.
