MORE than 70 people of all ages have celebrated two birthday milestones at Arcare Maroochydore.
While the residence was celebrating five years, the star of the show was resident Isabell Webb, who has turned 102.
With the theme 'As Time Goes By', the party size was double that expected and the theatre, outdoor courtyard and private dining room were filled with clients, team members, friends, daughters, sons and grandchildren.
The event featured the Walk Down Memory Lane slideshow with photos from the past five years, a "train station” photo booth wall with feather boas and sparkly hats, finger food and a chocolate fountain.
The residence was decorated with purple and silver to match the Arcare colours.
The cake-cutting ceremony was led by residence manager Radhika Nath and Isabell, who is Arcare Maroochydore's oldest client at 102 and was one of the first clients to move into the residence in 2014.
"I enjoyed myself and I am very happy to be asked to cut the cake,” Isabell said.
"I am very independent and I don't need anyone helping me to cut the cake or put the brakes on my wheelie walker.”
Radhika said the 5th birthday celebration was a great way to cherish past memories as well as create new ones.
"Seeing clients with their families - the young and the old together - is always a heartfelt moment,” she said.
