From touching Dawn Services to beachfront memorials, Anzac Day is always a heartfelt commemoration on the Sunshine Coast.

As thousands prepare to gather to honour those who made the ultimate sacrifice others will flock to the region for another extended getaway.

The long weekend shapes as another opportunity for many Covid-battered businesses to cash in, with hospitality venues primed for another spike in trade following what was by all accounts a huge Easter weekend.
