Accused links, associates of Kim White, Marshall White’s alleged drug empire

Accused dealers, tradies and street level users have been linked to an alleged cocaine syndicate run by a father and son who police say were fueling the Sunshine Coast with drugs. Here’s who’s been caught and how they were allegedly traced.

Operation Victor Ignite, Sunshine Coast, 40 people facing 192 charges

An alleged Sunshine Coast father and son cocaine syndicate has unravelled and exposed accused dealers and street-level drug pushers, some who have been named for the first time.

Police allege Kim Andrew White and Marshall Andrew White ran a “multimillion dollar” cocaine business where they used a number of individuals to sell their products while supplying others for their own uses.

Investigations through Operation Victor Ignite revealed profits rolled in due to the ever-rising price of cocaine, which sold for $225,000 a kilogram, up from $195,000.

What also emerged in court documents and police investigations was how far this alleged web stretched.

Police close to the investigation allege the White’s network involved not only organised runners whose sole income they claim was through selling drugs, but tradies and other punters in the community.

Other alleged dealers further down the chain were accused of sourcing these drugs from the Whites to sell to their own distribution network, partnered with lower-level users who police allege would source cocaine for themselves.

Detectives claim some of the accused even used others as “drivers” to allegedly conduct deliveries, while other alleged syndicate members took part in debt collection.

Court documents stated the Whites would often attend customers’ homes to obtain payments for drugs supplied on “tick”, with others brought along for “intimidation”.

Police alleged in bail objection documents they would “often provide threats of harm” towards customers due to lack of payment, or even contact their family members to obtain money owed for drugs.

In some instances, police alleged they would take possession of assets from customers including vehicles and other property.

Here, some of the alleged links and associates of the White’s uncovered during Operation Victor Ignite are revealed.

The alleged web

Detectives from the Sunshine Coast Drug and Serious Crime Taskforce created Operation Victor Ignite in February 2023.

The primary targets of the operation were father and son duo Kim and Marshall White, who police allege ran a million-dollar drug business.

Police allege they used a number of individuals to assist in the distribution of drugs on the Sunshine Coast and beyond.

This operation, according to court documents, allegedly identified a discrete drug syndicate involved in the distribution of commercial amounts of cocaine, MDMA and cannabis.

In bail objection documents, police say their first foot in the door began when they were granted a wire tap on Tyren Luke Wiggins’ phone on June 1, last year.

Through these telephone intercepts police found the Maroochy River teen was allegedly trafficking cocaine and marijuana, and used a number of “drug runners” to distribute what police suspect to be commercial quantities of cocaine and cannabis.

Two of these alleged runners, police claim, were juveniles who played important roles in the Whites’ business.

The 19-year-old could also allegedly source his own cocaine and could supply their syndicate if they ran short of drugs one week, police allege.

It’s understood Wiggins had no licence and would have his mates drive him around for alleged drug deliveries and everyday life.

Wiggins faces 14 charges including seven counts of aggravated supply of dangerous drugs to a minor 16 years and over and two of trafficking dangerous drugs.

He was remanded in custody with his next court date on August 2. No pleas have been entered.

Court documents state lawfully intercepted information revealed Jayden James Soanes, 23, was also carrying on a drug trafficking business.

Police allege he was selling large amounts of cocaine and to a lesser extent MDMA and marijuana. Bail documents state Soanes had in excess of 20 regular customers who would purchase “eight ball” amounts or 3.5g to multiple ounce quantities.

Detectives close to the investigation say Soanes could act independently and had his own drug connections, but did the majority of his dealing through the Whites.

It’s further alleged by police Soanes would use his mates as chauffeurs for drug errands, or ask them to complete them on his behalf for money or for drugs.

Soanes was charged with seven offences including three counts of trafficking in dangerous drugs. He was granted bail and will be mentioned again on August 2. No pleas have been entered.

Several days later on March 12, Kaylam Blake Adams was arrested and charged by the Sunshine Coast Drug and Serious Crime Squad.

Police allege the 20-year-old trafficked cannabis between June 1, 2023 to March 12, 2024 at Woombye.

It’s further alleged he possessed marijuana over the scheduled amount, as well as a phone police claim was used in connection with trafficking drugs.

Adams was charged with six offences including trafficking in dangerous drugs, possessing dangerous drugs over the schedule and possessing anything used in the commission of a crime.

Detectives allege the Birtinya man was associated with Wiggins and one of the juvenile dealers.

He is on bail and will face court again on August 2. No pleas have been entered.

Phone taps allegedly revealed the extent of their alleged dealings of primarily commercial amounts of cocaine, along with smaller amounts of MDMA and marijuana.

Police allege Marshall White had in excess of 20 customers who would purchase varying amounts of cocaine and supply to their own customer base.

Detectives allege the 48-year-old and 20-year-old were carrying on a drug trafficking business as a team.

The older White faces 12 charges including three counts of possessing dangerous drugs, two of trafficking in dangerous drugs and one count each of receiving or possessing property obtained from trafficking or supplying and unlawful possession of weapons.

He was remanded in custody and will appear in court on August 2. No pleas have been entered.

His son faces 14 charges including four counts of possessing dangerous drugs, two of trafficking dangerous drugs and receiving or possessing property obtained from trafficking or supplying, and one count each of possessing anything used in the commission of crime and unlawful possession of weapons. He was granted bail and will appear in court on the same date. No pleas have been entered.

Court documents state Cruz Adam Potter was allegedly a “close associate” of both the Whites and would assist them with their drug trafficking activities.

Telephone calls and text messages intercepted by detectives allegedly revealed the 18-year-old was used by the Whites as a drug distributor and debt collector.

The Birtinya teen was charged with trafficking dangerous drugs, possessing anything used in the commission of crime, contravening an order about information necessary to access information stored electronically and possessing property suspected of having been used in connection with the commission of a drug offence.

Police allege the 39-year-old trafficked cocaine between September 2, 2022 and May 21, 2024 at Currimundi.

Some of his allegations were heard in Maroochydore Magistrates Court on June 21, where Purkiss was represented by defence lawyer Kylie Ward.

Police prosecutor Jeanette Grigoris said Purkiss was apprehended during a major police operation where the Currimundi man was accused of dealing drugs in safe night precincts on the Sunshine Coast during late hours.

Ms Ward said the shower screen business operator was adamant he was not trafficking drugs, and was still awaiting particulars from police after Purkiss’ phone was seized.
