The exciting jobs I get to do like greeting some Broncos players and showing them through the school.

What one thing do you want to achieve for your school this year?

To organise one massive day where we can all come together and do the things we are passionate about. It could be towards the end of the year to celebrate a great year and we could fundraise during the year to help manage the cost of the event.

Having the opportunity to be involved in so much that our beautiful school staff have to offer and to help make things shine just a little brighter.

Extra responsibilities at school such as leading special events and assemblies or running days like Harmony Day, colour fun run, Student Leaders Investitures, and super champ awards as well as the annual Chancellor college Anzac Day march and the Remembrance Day service. I also really enjoy being a face to remember and trust to all students.

What one thing do you want to achieve for your school this year?

To ensure that all students feel happy and welcome, wanting to come to school every day as I believe every day counts. This year we are exploring our school culture and I am involved in a project designing an Aboriginal artwork showcasing how our school connects with the community.

For every student to achieve and feel proud and happy to attend Coolum State School. Helping with the little things and the big things such as fundraising and running our parades as well as giving

As my pledge, I am determined to work as a team with other school leaders, to fundraise to reach my goal of installing USB charges in every grade 5 and 6 class room, (as those are the grades that use laptops) to ensure no downtime is lost with our learning.

Being someone people look up to, being in a team working together combining all our strengths to make greatness and helping other people to succeed.

What one thing do you want to achieve for your school this year?

To achieve a sense everyone is included and belongs no matter who they are and to implement lunchtime clubs of different activities to encourage students to try new things and mix with different students. I also want to be there for the students not just as an ambassador but as a mental health first aid officer, so I want to be approachable if someone is down I can listen and be that person that helps no matter what.

To make students feel heard. My fellow ambassadors have designed an ideas box called the “Make a Difference Box” and it is for people to feel heard without having to actually tell someone and each week there will be a new theme word like “playground”, so students can write down their ideas or what they want to see in the playground and we can review them and discuss them.

To foster a sense of connection between all students from Prep to Year 12 through fun events, engaging initiatives, or just daily interactions. We debuted these values at the end of last year with our Christmas Assembly which included a gingerbread house-building competition and a competitive dance-off and we also implemented a new initiative of Grammar News to provide an engaging way for students to inform the school of upcoming events or celebrate student achievements. We hope to continue this legacy with more ideas such as monthly lunchtime visits to Prep students and developing more initiatives to support our charity partners.

To push for student voice to be heard and help build a well-functioning student council that can last once we have graduated, to ensure the future students of NSC have a powerful voice.

What is the most exciting thing about being a school captain?

Getting to know my teachers, leaders and peers on a much deeper level and learning how our school operates from the ground up. We are not only invited but welcomed into meetings and conversations about reaching some common goals such us continuing to build Nambour State College into the safe, respectful, and fun learning environment we all want it to be.

What one thing do you want to achieve for your school this year?

To show all students that you don’t have to be a straight-a student to become a leader. Mentors and leaders most important attributes include honesty, compassion, empathy and understanding. You also need to be a good listener and a real team player and I hope to demonstrate these qualities in my role as captain.

To better the mental health of our peers, remove any stigma around reaching out and make school a safe space for those struggling with mental health to support them in any way possible.
