Firefighters and police are at the scene of a serious house fire in Brisbane’s south this afternoon.
Queensland Fire and Emergency services raced to the scene of a two storey house fire on Brigantine Place, Sunnybank Hills around 2.50pm.
According to a QFES spokesman, the fire had already completely engulfed the upper level of the brick home and was threatening neighbouring properties as firefighters arrived on scene.
Paramedics were also called to the suburban street, with reports three people had been inside the home at the time of the blaze.
The two adults and a child were able to safely self evacuate and were uninjured.
The blaze was declared under control by 4.05pm, however it was understood small fires were still smouldering inside the home.
At the peak of the drama, eight crews were battling the blaze, which is understood to have started on the top level of the home.
Queensland Police are on scene along with the Fire Investigation Unit.
