The man most likely to be the next deputy premier, Jarrod Bleijie, smashed Labor’s “weird, wild and desperate” energy policy yesterday – but is still refusing our invite to debate Cameron Dick.
Mr Bleijie was at it again as the LNP’s chief spear thrower on Wednesday over Labor’s plan to create a second state-owned regional energy retailer to take on its other one, Ergon.
However, asked if he would rethink his refusal to debate Mr Dick, Mr Bleijie said his position was the same.
“I don’t debate losers. I have zero interest in giving Cameron Dick a platform for his own ego-driven ambitions to be the Leader of the Labor Party,” Mr Bleijie said.
“He’s irrelevant and has nothing left to offer the State, he’s not worth my time. I’d rather be out talking to Queenslanders about our plans to fix the chaos and crisis they’re living through because of Labor.
“Mr Dick proved before the last election he is a pathological liar and cannot be trusted. I’ll do Queensland a favour and save Queenslanders the pain of listening to Cameron Dick talk about himself over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again.”
Seeing as he is still refusing to face our panel of undecided voters, we will push ahead with plans to order a cardboard cut-out to stand in his place.
Now we’re asking readers to choose the image of Mr Bleijie they think should appear on the cutout, from these three we took on Wednesday.
