Ministers who don’t perform under an LNP government will be replaced in their roles Opposition Leader David Crisafulli has vowed.
Mr Crisafulli has repeatedly promised to uphold “ministerial accountability” under a government run by him.
He has gone so far as to say he will not recontest the 2028 election if the LNP is unable to meet its promise of reducing the number of crime victims.
Mr Crisafulli, asked what “ministerial accountability” looked like, vowed that a minister who isn’t doing their job to standard will be removed.
But it is unclear how low or high the bar has been set for when a minister is sacked.
“If ministers don’t perform, they will be removed from their job, and someone else will do the job,” he said.
“Ministerial accountability means people will be held accountable for their actions, and I hope I get the opportunity to show (that).”
