ALP member Stirling Hinchliffe has won the seat of Sandgate for a third term, beating out LNP candidate Clark Siemsen with a commanding lead of 56.27 per cent.
The seat of Sandgate was swayed by promises of local job creation, major spending on infrastructure and millions of dollars in funding to local schools, all of which aim to help the region recover from the coronavirus lockdowns earlier in the year.

While the Prince Charles hospital is not in the Sandgate electorate, it is used by its residents. A re-elected Labor Government have promised to put $3 million aside to fast track the expansion of its emergency services department.
