COUNTRY music's finest will soon be descending on the Granite Belt for the second annual Mountview Music Muster this weekend.

Mountview Wines owner and Mountview Music Muster managing director David McGrath said it was going to be a great event.

"The long weekend is the perfect time to spend with mates and what better place to spend it than at a gorgeous winery?" he said.

"You can kick back with a cold beer, great wine and amazing live music.

"Headline acts for Saturday include McAlister Kemp, the best country rock duo in Australia who has spent most of this year hanging out in Nashville with their seven-piece band performing for crowds of 25,000 people.

"On Sunday we have Australian country music legend Troy Cassar-Daley who has won every music award you can name and is a hell of a live performer and is looking forward to his first time playing to a live audience on the Granite Belt."

Mr McGrath said the partnership with RACQ Careflight Helicopter to auction a chance to sing on stage with Troy Cassar-Daley was a success.

"The guy who won the auction lives in Melbourne but is on holiday in Scotland so flew back (yesterday) in time to be on stage to sing with Troy," he said.

"We also have people flying over from Perth for Troy's performance."

Food, soft drink, beer, spirits and wine will all be available from on-site vendors.

One and two-day tickets will be available at the gate but can be purchased online or at Top Beat Entertainment in Stanthorpe for a discounted price. Visit www.mountview musicmuster.com.au for tickets and more information.

The muster will be held at Mountview Wines, Glen Aplin, on Saturday and Sunday.

SUNDAY BREAKFAST

On Sunday morning Glen Aplin State School P&C will be hosting a fundraising breakfast with the headline acts from Saturday. Money raised will go to the school's P&C.
