Rotarians preparing for opera

The countdown is on for the annual Opera in the Vineyard fundraiser

THE27th Opera in the Vineyard is a little more than a month away - on Sunday, May 5.

Our theme of Diamonds are Forever has us making new plans for entertaining our patrons.

A huge thank you to Stanthorpe Jewellers, which is donating a $2500 diamond jewellery piece as one of our fundraising prizes to be given away at the opera.

The cocktail party dinner format will be a different experience for the stayers after the opera who get to sample unique cocktails and eat the fabulous treats created by our chef Jason Costanzo for a continual grazing experience while enjoying the evening dance.

The delight of the day will be the operatic performance of our two internationally renowned artists, Rosario La Spina and Milijana Nicolic.

Rotarians are busy with all kinds of planning from preparing the opera site at Ballandean Estate to designing fundraising activities and entertainment and organising teams of volunteers for the set-up, running and pulling down of the event.

The results of the planning will be in the quality of the event itself.
