Photos from night 1, day 2 of Snowflakes in Stanthorpe

Visitors to the Snowflakes in Stanthorpe festival were overjoyed to witness the winter wonderland spectacular on Saturday, spending the day building snowmen, having snowball fights and tobogganing down the snowfield hills.

Families from all over the state braved the muddy and snowy conditions to experience the Snowflakes in Stanthorpe festival in full flight on day two.

While some youngsters experienced snow for the first time, others spent the day throwing snowballs at their parents and skating across the ice rink.

Many spent Friday night of the three-day event watching the fireworks light up the night sky at Quart Pot Creek.
