Man suffers life-threatening injuries after vehicle rolls, catches fire near Stanthorpe

A man is fighting for his life after his vehicle rolled and caught fire on rural road south-west of Brisbane. UPDATES.

A man has been rushed to Stanthorpe hospital in a critical condition after a fiery crash.

It’s understood the vehicle crashed and rolled along Eukey Rd at Kyoomba, less than 10 kilometres outside of Stanthorpe some time after 1pm Saturday.

The vehicle then caught fire as a result of the crash.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said paramedics treated one patient, a man in his 30s, for life-threatening injuries.

She said the man was taken via road to Stanthorpe Hospital for further care.

Queensland Fire Department crews arrived at around 1.40pm and quickly extinguished the blaze.

A QFD spokeswoman said the man was not trapped when crews arrived.

Police were also called to the scene and it’s understood the Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
