WE'RE just three sleeps out from the inaugural Sounds from the Vines Festival and its promoter is chomping at the bit to get things under way.
With six big acts set to perform on the day, Stanthorpe's in for a brilliant day according to festival promoter Rick Szabo.
"Everything's on fire. We're looking really, really well for a great event.”
He says they'll start setting up tomorrow, but the bulk of work will be undertaken Friday.
There will be a solitary big stage on the High St side of the showgrounds ring, with two screens projecting the performance to punters set up further away.
There's separate VIP areas, several food trucks, multiple bars, toilets, ATM and merchandise tents.
"We've got great food vans, really different types. Then we obviously have multiple lanes set up in the beverage area and lots of great music,” Mr Szabo said.
"We can't wait to implement something that's been a year in the making
"It's D-Day for us and we really to just want to make it work and for everyone to enjoy it.”
There will be tickets available at the door and still some for purchase online.
Despite that Mr Szabo said organisers have been pleased with how sales have been tracking.
"The vibe is just growing and growing. I've spoken to all the management and all the bands are hanging out to get here.
He said gates will open around 1.30pm with Colt Seavers Band taking the stage first from 2pm.
The night will wind up with James Reyne from 8.30pm.
