A massive weekend of celebration has brought 10 days of fun and festivity at the 2022 Stanthorpe Apple and Grape Harvest Festival, bringing hundreds of visitors to the region.
From iconic events such as the famous grape stomp and grand parades to themed days highlighting the best of Granite Belt produce, the entire region has come alive throughout the event.
Suttons Juice Factory and Cafe owner David Sutton said being able to bring back the famed festival and show the rest of the state what the Granite Belt had to offer was a privilege.
“There were so many people who came out during Covid and said they had no idea this region was even here until then,” he said.
“We’ve believed from day one that it isn’t just our business, it’s about all businesses, and we’ve got one of the most diverse regions in Queensland.”
“There’s been no negative feedback at all about the festival, it’s just great.”
Huge crowds flocked to the Stanthorpe CBD and Weeroona Park on Saturday for the Rebel FM Street Carnival, Queensland Country Bank Food and Wine Fiesta, and many more event throughout the day.
