THE Granite Belt had a great night out at Ballandean on Saturday. Around 200 people turned up to the Ballandean Football Club and Firefighter thank you evening.
Event co-organiser Jason Nash said he was impressed with how many people showed up to help fundraise for new lights at the football grounds.
"We think we've raised around $4000,” he said.
"It was a really good night.”
He said there were queues out the door of people lining up for food.
Local band Last Days entertained in a truck provided by Landmark while some of the kids opted to kick a ball around on the soccer fields.
"There is a talk of doing it on a regular basis, once or twice a year,” Mr Nash said.
"There is talk of a few other ideas sitting around, maybe outdoor movie nights.”
Mr Nash thanked everyone who showed up, the wineries who donated drinks for the night and all of the local firefighters.
"You couldn't have asked for a better night.”
