Gig guide: The hottest live acts heating things up at Snowflakes in Stanthorpe festival this weekend
An awesome line-up of performers set to take the stage for the winter festival, including Stanthorpe talent and other renowned musicians from around the country. Here is all you need to know to plan your live music hit:

Snowflakes in Stanthorpe is back with an awesome line-up of live performances to keep you moving to the beat all weekend.
The Border Post has put together a guide to ensure you don’t miss any of the talented artists as they take to the stage.

Nine Year Sister
Stanthorpe’s very own Jennie and Emma Wardle behind pop/folk duo Nine Year Sister will be performing at the festival.
The sisters’ heartfelt lyrics, strong harmonies and acoustic stylings will be on full display as they entertain their home crowd.
The singer-songwriters also won the 2020 Australian National Busking Championships in Stanthorpe last year.
WHEN: Friday in the main street at 10am and 2pm, Saturday at the Showgrounds main stage at 2pm and 4pm
Levi X and Dad
Levi-X is teaming up with his dad to cover a wide range of songs from 1930s swing, jazz and gospels to 70s and 80s rock music.
The 13-year-old has been entertaining crowds with his saxophone and singing abilities for the last couple of years.
The Queensland duo won the recent Australian National Busking Championships held in Stanthorpe in March.
WHEN: Friday noon, 1.30pm and 3.30pm at the Maryland Street stage, Saturday 10am at the Ring Masters stage and noon and 5pm at the Showgrounds main stage and Sunday on the Showgrounds main stage at 10am.
The Graniteers
Stanthorpe’s very own ukulele group will once again showcase its talent at the festival.
The strummers and songbirds are a fun-loving group of people who enjoy playing music and entertaining others.
This group are set to wow the crowd with their string playing skills and vocal renditions of a variety of classic songs.
WHEN: Friday, 10am in the main street; Saturday 11am at the Showgrounds main stage, and noon at the ring master’s stage.
Peter Salata
Stanthorpe’s country music enthusiast will wow with his electric and classical guitar skills and passion for all things country music.
The artist will perform some hits from his newest album, Red Hot Sun.
The singer-songwriter and country musician has won multiple awards including Country Music Association’s songwriter of the year.
WHEN: Sunday, 11am at Showgrounds main stage
Kathryn The Band
The band comprised of two Kathryn’s from Stanthorpe will be playing and singing covers of many different songs.
The local duo share the love of the arts in their inspiring and touching covers of some of your favourite songs as well as new originals.
WHEN: Saturday, 9am at the Showgrounds main stage; 11am at the ring master’s stage
Shieldsy
Another Stanthorpe local Shieldsy, is performing his new hit and power ballad Spilt Milk at Snowflakes.
The song tells the story of the guitarist’s heartbreak at the loss of his favourite breakfast addition.
The artist’s music is inspired by the absurdity of everyday life, and is satirical and of the irreverent punk pop bangers and indie rock genre.
Known locally as the “teller of tales and singer of songs” this comical artist is sure to delight with his whimsical ways.
WHEN: Saturday, 3pm and 6pm on the Showgrounds main stage
A number of other artists including Jimmy Festoon, Tashe Man, Pierre Sparks, Two Wheel Drive and Mario Costanzo will also be performing.
