FESTIVAL of Small Halls is making its way to the Granite Belt region, hosting some of the best folk and contemporary acoustic artists in Australia.
Hosted by Woodfordia and Mullum festival, this 2019 summer tour series takes the best folk and contemporary acoustic artists from two of the country's largest festivals and sends them on the road to small halls across Australia.
Festival of Small Halls will be heading to Glen Aplin Hall next month giving local residents the opportunity to let their hair down and enjoy a night of great artists both local and national.
Glen Aplin Hall secretary and MC for the evening, Lindsay Saunders, said it was a great opportunity for the community to come together and enjoy a night of festivities.
"It's going to be a feel-good-in-tough-times night," Mr Lindsay said.
"They have had wonderful success in the past, so we are very fortunate they have included us in their program this year."
The event won't only be supporting the Glen Aplin Hall, it will also raise money for the Glen Aplin Rural Fire Brigade and Glen Aplin State School P&C.
"We have some local talent to open up the show, the local fireys are doing the barbecue and the local school is doing the bar," he said.
"We are hoping to make it a really good night for everyone in our Glen Aplin Hall."
Festival of Small Halls will be at the Glen Aplin Hall on Friday, December 13 with doors opening at 6.30 for a 7pm start.
