OUR Year 6 students have had a very busy few weeks. Earlier this term, our five Year 6 students were presented with their school leader badges at a very special parade.

We congratulate our school leaders for 2019: Mia, Coen, Riley, Abbey and Abbie.

We were very lucky to have Senior Constable Max Muir attend and help with the presentations.

Last week, our Year 6 students travelled to Toowoomba to attend the GRIP Leadership day where they learnt about to be a leader.

Through different games and activities, the students learnt about making decisions and having to work with different students.

Already, our Year 6 students are learning to take on many responsibilities and delegate among themselves.

Some of the responsibilities so far involve them running our weekly parades, welcoming and thanking visitors to our school, taking on a buddy from our younger class and organising lunch time activities.

We are taking enrolments for Prep for 2020, so if you are still unsure where your child will attend next year, we invite you and your family to our school, to see why The Summit is the school for your child.
