Christmas was certainly in July this weekend as mountains of snow were seen spraying around the snow fields, to cater for the more than 5000 predicted to have attended the Snowflakes in Stanthorpe event.
From ice skating to puppet shows, igloo making, ninja climbing walls, commando courses, snow toboggans and so much more could be found around the Stanthorpe showgrounds on Saturday.
Not to be forgotten were the smooth sounds of live music coming from the multiple stages set up around the grounds.
Many stallholders filled with foods, crafts and other goods lined their way around and could be seen swarmed by eager festival goers ready to sample what was on offer.
Snowflakes in Stanthorpe event organiser Trace Gosney said they recorded big attendance numbers for Saturday and Sunday, with the exact number of attendees still to be finalised over the coming days as the clean-up from the weekend's events gets underway.
