AFTER a successful grant application through the Gambling Community Benefit Fund last year, GlenAplin State School students have had the opportunity to watch democracy in action.
Last year students were involved in a survey to determine what the extension playground could include.
Three playground options were designed and displayed for parents and students to view and discuss.
Last week students voted for their favourite design, with parents also having the opportunity to be involved in the decision.
The Glen Aplin community is excited to hear the outcome of the ballot and look forward to installation in the coming months.
The Gambling Community Benefit Fund helps fund projects like this by allowing not-for-profit groups operating in Queensland to apply for grants from $500 to $35,000. Round 101 will open mid-April.
