SHOOTING: Two cherished former members of the Ballandean Clay Target Club continue to live in members' memories, thanks to an annual memorial day.
On Saturday shooters will compete for the John Bachetti and Angelo Musumeci Memorial trophies.
Club president Sam Scalia said it was a great way to remember two men, as well as their families, who dedicated time and service over many years.
"Angelo's will be shot probably around 2pm Saturday afternoon and John's will be probably first thing at about 9.30 in the morning,” Mr Scalia said.
"John's memorial shoot is normally a 25 target double barrel event and Angelo's is a 25 target continental event.”
It's the second time they've held Angelo's after his shock passing and John's has been running for significantly longer.
"It has been about 12 years since John passed and when he passed away his family donated all the weapons he had back to the club to sell,” Mr Scalia said.
"And with that we did renovations to the club.”
Frank Musumeci's business, Frank's Bobcat Hire, will donate prizes at this weekend's event.
"We can get 45 to 60 shooters there that day but it all depends, with Easter being this weekend it might be a bit different.”
He expects to see shooters from over the border head up for the event.
"(We) always welcome more shooters. Just turn up on the day if you like.”
